Putty Shortcuts – Getting familiar with SSH Shell Clients
Some very important shortcuts that will help you to control Putty a little bit better. Canceling a command for example is very important. Therefore CTRL + Z is a very important shortcut that you should remember.
Shortcuts:
Ctlr + A – go to the beginning of line
Ctrl + E – go to the end of line
Ctrl + W – delete a word
Alt + f – Move forward
Alt + B – move backwords
Alt + BackSpace – Delete backward from cursor
down arrow – browser command history backwords
up arrow – browse command history upwards
Ctrl + r – Recall command
Ctrl + z – Suspend/ Stop the command
Search the history backwards
Ctrl + l – clear the screen
